One of the things I find most rewarding about my abilities is the ability to give back. To that end, I don’t want to talk about myself. I want to share with you four people who are giving back. Laurie Wilson, Terry Trace, Joel Boggess and Marcie Swift are working with our youth (leaders of tomorrow) to develop career paths that excite the passion within. Laurie Wilson, located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, is founder of L. Wilson Group, LLC, a coaching, consulting, training and presentation firm specializing in coaching individuals and teams through Career Coaching, Team Dynamics, Dialogue, Leadership and Personal and Professional Effectiveness. She does this by focusing on a clients’ self-knowledge and self-worth. Laurie Wilson is a seasoned presenter, speaker, facilitator, and coach. Terry Trace, located in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area, served 21 years in the US Air Force. The first 8 years he installed and maintained communications-electronics equipment in Air Traffic Control facilities. Looking for a better career fit, Terry transferred into recruiting, spending the next 10 years counseling high school and college students who were interested in becoming members of the Air Force. Terry completed his military career as an instructor supervisor in the Air Force electronics schoolhouse. After retiring from the Air Force, he served as an executive/professional recruiter at an international recruiting firm and now works with entrepreneurs wanting to select and invest in franchise businesses. Terry’s passion for and expertise in successfully matching individuals with careers has led him to also offer his expertise as a career coach for students.Terry graduated Magna Cum Laude from Park University with a BS in Management. He is a member of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and he and his wife Susie are active members of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. They have two grown children and live in Metro Atlanta. Marcie Swift, M.Ed., located in West Suffield, Connecticut, is founder of Swift Center for Learning, LLC and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Marcie has thirty years of experience working with adults and young adults. Her practice involves Learning disabilities; ADD/ADHD; nonverbal learning disabilities; central auditory processing disorders (SCAN-A only for this); personality testing (depression, anxiety, etc.); vocational assessment and vocational coaching. Marcie uses the Career Coaching for Students program at the core of her student vocational coaching program called Navigating for Success. Joel Boggess, MA, MBA, located in Dallas, Texas, is a certified professional behavioral analyst and a Success Discoveries coach. Joel felt a passionate calling to help others. This passion provided the energy to complete his MA in Counseling. His experience includes one-on-one career, life, and business coaching, group leadership, and personal fitness training. Joel and his wife live in Colleyville, Texas and are active members of Covenant Church. Enthusiastic about life, Joel enjoys spiritual growth, golf, weight training, and spending time with friends and family. Joel is providing Career Coaching for Students workshops to schools, church youth groups and as public workshops.
